Kimmidoll Limited Edition: Akiyo, Kazue and Koko

Holidays allow me to afford time to spend either for leisure or going back to backlogs. This post qualifies for both! Here are three more limited edition kimmidolls from my own collection...and this reminds me that I haven't gotten any new kimmidoll since this year started.

Birthday and Graduation Gift

After weeks of waiting for our schedules to meet, Ate Mel and I finally went to Rustans Gateway for the latest Kimmidoll collection. Ira, our favorite sales assistant actually sent an SMS last October 3 that the latest edition of dolls has arrived -- uh-huh, that was in the midst of my nervousness for my graduation speech! haha! Anyway, since Ate Mel and Ate Hazel were both out of town the past weeks, we have been postponing going there. It has been our practice to go there together most of the time so it's quite sad that Ate Hazel was not able to make it tonight.

For this season, I bought two limited edition dolls and two mini dolls. I noticed that the price of the limited edition doll increased by 200 pesos, perhaps because of the additional two swarovski crystals that they placed on the doll. The older edition dolls have six crystals, plus one crystal on the box handle but the latest limited edition dolls now have eight crystals. I also noticed that aside from the special collector's card, the limited edition dolls also contain an accordion type flyer featuring all the dolls included in this series. I find this a nice improvement for Kimmidoll. So, here, here are the newest additions to my girls...

Limited Edition Kimmidoll Miwako (Unity) | October 2014 series

Limited Edition Kimmidoll Yuri (Gracious) | October 2014 series

Kimmidoll Chizue (Modesty) | October 2014 series

Kimmidoll Himena (Loveable) | October 2014 series

Okay, I kind of splurged but hey, it was my birthday two days ago and I graduated from my MA last October 3 and received unexpected awards...so there, I rationalized! haha.. As I would often say, it isn't bad to treat yourself once in a while.

Kimmidoll Tatsuyo (Strong Hearted)

I just find Tatsuyo's virtue very much related to yesterday's post about moving on and being at peace with the past.

Kimmidoll Aki (Understanding)

Meet Aki meaning Understanding. She's also one of the dolls that I brought home with me last Monday. She is a keychain. I like the virtue that she represents: learning and inquiry -- that is one thing that I think people ought to have more of. And yes, learning and inquiry must come with an open mind so that we can understand and discern insights in life.

HONEY: My first Kimmidoll Junior -- just because we're namesakes!

Just out of the paper bag: Kimmidoll Junior Honey

With each of us busy and with Ate Mel often on field work for post-Yolanda reconstruction, Monday became the new Friday.

Ira of Rustan's Gateway has been sending us SMS since last month informing us that their new stocks of Kimmidolls are already in store. Since I was still on exile oh I mean, on residential training at the Development Academy of the Philippines Tagaytay, Ira volunteered to reserve some new dolls for us.

Today being one rare moment that the three of us are in Quezon City, off we went to Gateway; oh yes, never mind that it's Monday!

While contemplating on which of the cutesy dolls to bring home with me (oh yes, I do contemplate on it since I an not a richie-rich girl!), an excited Ate Hazel showed this Kimmidoll Junior to me pointing out that it's name is like mine. I don't collect the juniors, I only have Kimmidolls and Kimmidoll Love so at first I was hesitant to get it since it costs PhP 685.00. But on the second thought, wow we're namesakes so why not? Unlike the Kimmidolls which represents virtues, the Junior dolls are more like doll friends with slumbookish descriptions. I like her quotable quote: "friends are like music, together we work in harmony." And this Kimmi namesake of mine is musically inclined, just like me! Okay, I am kidding! But, yep I am musically inclined, it's just that music is not so into me! LOL!

of lovely dolls, youthful vibes, dances, princesses and princes

Happy Valentines Day (or so they say). Today also marks my 103rd day of exile in here in Tagaytay. Hanap kasi nang hanap ng change, so eto na ang bonggang-bonggang change! When I came here 3 months and 11 days ago, sabi ko sa sarili ko I will make the most out of this.

Some things never change though, like my love for my adorable kimmidolls so here, I am updating my collection in this blog at dahil Valentines day daw ngayon, I will feature my Kimmidoll Love collection. I was with Ate Mel and Ate Hazel when we noticed the funky looking dolls from the kimmidoll love collection. We bought one keychain type each as Christmas presents for Atty. Gettie and Mss. Beth and Celia and since during those days I was attracted to anything red, I also bought the red-haired doll for my self. So far, I have seven of them, five keychains and two maxi dolls.

2 kimmidolls 2 days before my birthday

Two more days and it's my birthday, so as an advance birthday gift, I bought myself two maxi kimmidolls: Ayana (Colorful) and Miyuna (Graceful).

Ayana (Colorful) | Kimmidoll 2013 Collection (Maxi doll)
Miyuna (Graceful) | Kimmidoll 2013 Collection (Maxi doll)

I am praying for and looking forward to a new journey. I hope I can get it for if not, I might find myself on my way to an entirely different world in no time. Like the virtues that these dolls represent, may I have a colorful and graceful year ahead...this is my birthday wish.

Kimmidoll Chikako (Insightful)

A purple maxi doll for me: Chikako (Insightful)

Also bought this in keychain for a post-Christmas gathering and gift-giving with the Titas and the Lolas ;-). It was my first time to attend such gathering (baptism of fire, eh?!), and I was surprised when they said that we should explain to the one who picked our numbered gifts why we chose to give such. Good thing I decided to write something on the gift card attached to the ribbon-laden packaging (I love the gift wrapping services of Rustan's gateway by the way); and that something is exactly what they required us to explain! Oh, I really believe that I have the gift of foresight, which to my observation very few people has :-). Ooopss, did I mention that the Chikako keychain ended up with one of the founders of the organization? Oh yeah, the PAPP! ;-)

The Kimmidoll keychain doesn't come with a Collectors' card enclosed, but sometimes you just can't find a mini or maxi doll with that charming design. :-)

turning another leaf

I have been silent here for quite a long time. No Christmas, no holiday, no new year post.

It's not that I've been hiding in a cave or have got nothing going on with my life that I could share here. It's just that, life has been going on and on and on and on... and the sudden breaks which I took the past weeks were dedicated to hibernating errrrrr... re-energizing myself. I do not even update my FB a lot, save for some random quotes or sharing in my status update, as well as approving photo tags by friends.

Now, I stare here again with so much thoughts running through my mind, that I cannot find words to describe. I am excited, delighted, afraid, elated, confused, and all sorts of feelings that I could recognize at the same time. I don't know if this is because of the fast changes (or the lack of it) happening around me. Or it could also be that I am the one who's changing, I mean, growing old, growing up (am not talking here about physically growing up, as in am getting heavier, duh!), or transforming into someone that I'd like myself to be -- hopefully a better one.

Call me whatever you want to describe it, but am not really a TV or movie buff. Sure, I watch movies or TV from time to time, but I can really live my life without those and I would be perfectly fine. But the other night, I find myself watching a circa 2010 movie of Kim Chiu -- and I was just crying my heart out. I literally felt like there is a heavy feeling going out of my system with the stream of tears that fall from my eyes (yep, you read it right -- stream of tears!). Then the other other night (walang paki-alaman ng phraseology rito, blog ko ito no!), I watched another movie which reminded me that indeed, no matter how many times or how hard you find yourself tumbling down the hall, or your head banged on a wall, there will always be something good ahead waiting for you if you are ready to go for it.

I just look forward to positive changes in my life...I don't know what that would be, but I feel like am up to something great soon -- and no, am not thinking anything about PCW matters here! I usually am a fast learner and I can cope quite well in school or business settings -- but I guess am on the other side when it comes to more personal matters. But then again, I am not competing with anyone or anything. I admit, I get offended by people who sort of push me to go in a hurry. I feel that they are violating my own sense of person hood; they are going over the borders which I reserved only for myself. I believe that I should be allowed to go through all these things at my own pace, at my own terms, at my own time.

my Konoka Kimmidoll
And I am sure that this is finally it -- I am already leaving behind that chapter in the book called my life. I looked back at the pages earlier, but the tears no longer poured out; no more heavy feelings inside; no more what ifs or I wish -- the pages are just there. I have outlined the lessons I've learned, and turned it out into a list of things that I will do in the future -- it's all carved in my mind, in my heart -- it's already a part of who I am. I am completely thankful that God never left me all throughout the long journey. I realized that worst things could have happened if He allowed it because of my stubbornness -- I still feel so blessed.

And so, I will live my next days once again as a carefree soul who enjoy the good things that life, and everything that surrounds it, has to offer. Like Konoka, I will embrace life through all my senses...savour every taste, every touch, every smell, sight and sound...linger in the moment.
